My journey into Middle Eastern dance began in 1995 with early instruction from teachers Keti Sharif and Angela Irwin. I moved from student to performer with the Mystique Bellydance Academy and began teaching under the guidance of Angela Irwin in 1998.
With a keen interest in the concept of community dance and my aim to involve women and children in dance regardless of their level of experience, my teaching ability has grown to include:-
Regular attendance at workshops with instructors from overseas, eastern states and local teachers, as well as other relevant courses, ensures my skills are practised, expanded and kept up to date. With so many variations in Middle Eastern dance, continued education is a necessity that provides a wonderful opportunity to experience other music styles, cultures and meet some truly wonderful people.
Other studies that have been part of my journey have included:

I've also been fortunate to travel to Egypt on two occasions, undertaking private classes with some of Egypt’s well known instructors and choreographers.
These studies all combine to ensure participants not only receive tuition in a safe dance environment, but enjoy their dance experience in a fun and supportive atmosphere.
I believe that this dance form has something for everyone, regardless of age or ability. Through bellydance I have seen amazing things happen for all types of people. Everyday, I see women in motion, and in dance, I see them being truly dynamic!
