"Midnight at the Oasis" The magic of dance theatre!

Friday 26/9: 7.30-10.30pm : Welcome to the Oasis, Solo in the Spotlightimage oasis dance studio

Now at the Morley Function Centre, cnr Mangini & Wellington Streets, Morley
Hosted by Oasis Bellydance & Fitness Studio, our welcome event will showcase many of the instructors teaching over the festival weekend.  Catch up with friends and enjoy some breath-taking solo performances by:
Alma, Amanda Irwin, Annette Berry, Azzura, Devi, Gitana, Jrisi, Hassan and Jadiya, Lisa, Ma'isah, Paola, Russya, Suzanne, and Zahraa.

Single Ticket: $25          Group Booking (10 Tickets)  $225

Notes: Seating is unreserved theatre style, bar is available (beer, wine, soft drinks - no BYO), snacks available for sale

Sunday 28/9: 7.30pm-late : Midnight at the Oasis, the Magic of Dance Theatre  photo

Enjoy a spectacular evening of performances highlighting three unique settings.  Let your imagination dance in the flames of the oasis campfire, delve into the romanticism of the early era of film or just revel in the modern night club. This brilliant show will feature performances by Jrisi and Devi and showcase some of Prof Hassan Khalil's wonderful choreographies. It will also highlight our dynamic bellydance community with performances from troupes and soloists from around the State. This event is being co-ordinated by Suzanne Oehlers, whose creative talents are well known.

Single Ticket: $35          Group Booking (10 Tickets)  $300

Notes: Seating is allocated table, bar is available (beer, wine, soft drinks - NO BYO), some snacks for sale or byo snack plate

Monday 29/9:  11.00-3.00pm : Sheik, Shop, Show!
The Annual Bellydance Central Bazaar

Morley Function Centre, Cnr Wellington Road & Mangini Street
Bring your own Sheik and get ready for the annual shopping extravaganza event not to be missed!  Costumes, class gear, music, wings, hip scarves, trims and appliqués, you name it, it will be here, plus a great performance line up to entertain you between your bargain hunting. 
Entry $3, pay at the door.

PseudoSkirt Dance Project

Ma'isah from Raqs Gothique is looking for dancers interested in learning a gothic fusion bellydance number to perform at the Bazaar as a one time troupe to be known as 'PseudoSkirt. A 12.30pm timeslot has been booked at the Monday Bazaar.

This interactive dance challenge is open to anyone who thinks they are up for it! A minimum of belly dance basics are required, as well as the ability/willingness to adopt a gothic look for the performance. Indeed being goth would bee a distinct plus!
